MOTHERLAND SLEEPS

Motherland Sleeps is a quiet, fragmented visual diary shaped by moments of inner suspension — when language disappears, time slows, and the body holds still beneath a heavy silence.

In these images, the homeland is no longer a place, but a body — fragile, muted, drifting in a dense, uncertain fog. There are no outcries here, no action — only outlines, shadows, and traces. Each drawing speaks of inertia, waiting, of land that has held its breath.

The title evokes a sense of absence, of a homeland not simply asleep, but forgotten, silenced, or unreachable. Through minimal gestures and delicate lines, the series creates a space of emotional stillness, where memory becomes ash and grief is held not through depiction, but through what is missing.

These works are not illustrations of events, but reflections of internal states — helplessness, fracture, the fragile architecture of the psyche. Motherland Sleeps offers a form of quiet witnessing, a record of what trembles beneath the surface when everything else becomes still.
